It’s time to enjoy Another Saturday Night of melodious music, magical memories and much, much more as we kick off another evening of music.
Last week’s edition was a celebration of the 1960s. The following song, performed by one of the world’s greatest bands of the 1960s, is not seen as one of its best.
But its title lends itself to this week’s theme: Songs with “Hello” or “Goodbye” in the title, and languages other than English are eligible for inclusion.
Apropos of nothing, George Harrison was the only band member to wear a hat in this video. Harrison also was the only one to ride a dark-colored horse in the “Penny Lane” video, but those two facts were not enough to start a “George is dead” rumor.
Speaking of “George,” comedy legend George Carlin had thoughts about “Hello” and “Goodbye.”
