The idea that AOC needs to explain why she did not sign on to bullshit legislation trotted out by the “Jewish Space Laser” lady is fucking crazy. The National DSA board is basically now a farcical institution that thinks Hamas is an organization of freedom fighters. They are not. They are Bibi’s chosen opposition, because their politics are virtually identical to Israel’s, in their political extremism.
(I am voting Mamdani, by the way, because he is not a tone deaf asshole; because he sticks to his beliefs, never bending, while attempting to bring everybody along with him; he also will preside in New York, a place that embraces everyone, unlike the rest of our failing country)
Really MTG? We want to make common cause with this Nazi maniac, acting in bad faith, for the “good” of the Palestinians? Puhleeeeze
AOC has the LEAST to answer for here. But I’d sure love to know what the hell Summer Lee is thinking, or Al Green. Are they making common cause with the far right over this unfolding genocide in the Middle East? That is morally and politically dubious. One needs to ask: On what ground would an actual anti-Semite want Israel to lower its defenses?
That’s a real head-scratcher...mmmm…? Weird...
The digital minions of yammering (supposed) Leftists predictably have come out to call AOC a traitor, and I have to say, it confirms something I have felt for awhile: Political podcasters are way down on the food chain of media we should ever wholly trust to make sense of our world. And I apply that to podcasts I even tend to agree with. Sure. This sounds counter-intuitive because we love our media bubbles, and its so much easier to mainline the daily fix of hot takes, than actually form considered opinions for ourselves. Click-driven to a fault, the appeal to emotionality and reflexive whining is built into the platform. This is not the place where debate can happen...it encourages reaction instead of thought. And we are stupid if we fall for it….
