AFTER THE GAZA GENOCIDE – Jeffrey Albertson

I guess I’ll have less Jews as friends

After the Gaza genocide

They will say I should love Israel

And I will not abide

And in their view that will make me

An anti-Semite

But my friends are not going to shut me up

About the Gaza genocide

I should have seen this coming

And I guess I sort of did

When Israel did its war crimes

I ran away and hid

But I ain’t doing that no more

With so many Palestinians dead

They can call me names if they want to

But I’m saying NEVER AGAIN

If we’re honest it was always coming to this

And now I understand

What Golda meant in ‘48

That it was an empty land

They always meant to empty it out

So that Jews could finally be free

And I went along with them

Why should anybody forgive me?

So I guess I’ll have less Jews as friends

After the Gaza genocide

Because I do not love Israel

And I will not abide

You can call me an anti-Semite

And that’s something I don’t like

But finally after all these years

I’ll be able to sleep at night
