I want such ridiculous things, as peace of mind and security.
I don’t want to wake up each day wondering what new hell is going to befall us.
I don’t want to be worried about if today is the day I lose my job
I want to live in the bliss that is everyday hum drum life

I want to do things like going to the movies with my kid
I want to get him a pet or two
I want to stay up late reading a meaningless book
I want to live in a world without major events

I want a simple life, with time to spare for hobbies
I want a quiet life, so I can hear crickets and birds
I want a life so boring, I live to see beyond retirement
I want to live without worrying about tomorrow
