What Trump's taking aspirin really means [1]

I’m a physician. I noticed something in Trump’ spokesperson’s recent explanation of his hand bruising that appears to have been overlooked. As many have mocked, she attributed it to “hard hand shaking” and his taking aspirin. But why is he taking aspirin?
The United States Preventive Services Task Force, the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology all recommend AGAINST the use of aspirin for primary prevention of cardiovascular disease in those over 70 years of age due to the increased risk of bleeding. Primary prevention refers to prevention of disease before a disease event has occurred in someone at high risk of such an event occurring.
BUT, aspirin IS generally indicated in the secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease i.e. heart attacks, strokes, coronary artery disease, etc. Secondary prevention refers to prevention of another event occurring in someone who has already had such an event.
So is Trump inappropriately being prescribed aspirin for the primary prevention of cardiovascular disease in someone over 70? And if so, what does he ALREADY have that puts him at higher risk of having a cardiovascular event that induced his doctor to prescribe aspirin to prevent such an event?
Alternatively, if it is being prescribed for secondary prevention, what significant cardiovascular event has Trump had that has not been revealed to the American public?
“Perfect health”??? Hogwash!!!
This inadvertent admission needs to be pushed until it’s picked up by traditional media and we cant allow the administration to now deny that he is taking aspirin.
