So it’s all Pam Bondi’s fault that Trump has to dodge questions about the Epstein case files.
From NBC News:
Trump frustrated at having to take the heat for Pam Bondi's handling of the Epstein files White House officials and other Trump allies said that the president, not the attorney general, has been the one having to answer questions about Jeffrey Epstein.
I’m reasonably sure that Pam Bondi’s name is not in the Epstein case files, so why should she be answering questions for the man who was buds with Epstein?
WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump has grown weary of defending Attorney General Pam Bondi's handling of the Justice Department's Jeffery Epstein files and wants her to take responsibility for cleaning up the mess, according to four people familiar with White House deliberations… The administration's refusal to disclose the full contents of the government's investigation into Epstein, who killed himself in jail while awaiting trial on charges of sex-trafficking minors in 2019, has caused a deep rift between Trump and significant elements of his MAGA base.
And NBC News does point out the obvious with this latest story:
It all appears to add up to Trump trying to redirect the Epstein storm toward Bondi.
Somehow this is ALL Bondi’s fault, which is Trump’s SOP. Trump never did anything wrong. Bondi just fucked up how to hype a conspiracy theory then NOT RELEASE DOJ material about said conspiracy theory.
All of us have seen this same movie over and over again with Trump.
But like I said, Bondi’s not the one who has left a trail of sexually abused women in her wake. Bondi didn’t rape E. Jean Carroll. Last time I checked, Bondi didn’t brag that she could grab women by the pussy. Nor did she own the Miss Teen USA pageant where she could barge in on naked teenage girls. And Bondi didn’t write that birthday card to Epstein for his 50th.
Bondi is guilty of hyping a conspiracy theory though, but she had lots of other co-conspirators in that, including the guy she works for.
Trump has been somewhat successful though in making Bondi persona non grata among the MAGA crowd. Remember how even Laura Ingraham called for a show of hands at Turning Point USA — The Trumpian Youth — on if they thought Bondi has done a good job with regards to the Epstein files? No one raised their hands.
So there is real fury at Bondi, but it’s not enough of a distraction yet for Trump. Some of the ding dongs in land of MAGA have put two and two together and realized that Trump can order Bondi to stand on her head because he is the boss. So she is doing the boss’s bidding.
I hope this lasts.
