Mainstream VS Independent Media pet peeve! [1]

Morning all, no I’m not better if not I’m worse this morning. Nothing major no need for worries, just allergies killing my head. So #ThePoet is grumpy because my head is heavy and my sinuses flaring.

Now you know I watch independent media and not mainstream media. That being said, there is a recurring trend in Independent media that I have to call out, because it bugs the hell out of me.

I can complain about MSM anchors and media all day long, for their opinions, not asking the right questions, not pushing back and Independent media can do the same. No beef on that.

However, but, independent media you need to can the: “You wont’ see this on mainstream media” “Mainstream Media won’t tell you this” as you comment on a clip from MSM!!!. Most of your analytics of politics, center around clips from MSM video or print, also around C-Span. The way some of you talk, one would think you were out there covering the news personally… you’re not (for the most part).

Do I really need to point out that without MSM journalists and clips you wouldn’t have much to talk about, since what most of you do is comment on the news that you get from MSM? Do you really want go there? Until you have your own journalists covering domestic and international issues on the ground and doing investigative journalism, you need to realize for the moment you need MSM.

Like I said, you can criticize the opinions, anchors, lack of push back and all that jazz, but stop with the “you won’t see that on MSM”, you’ll mostly cover the same stuff. When I’m watching news reports it’s not to hear you brag about how you’re destroying MSM or what I will or won’t see on MSM, I just like your commentary better than the syrupy anchors of MSM.
