Federal employees generally go into government service for good benefits, good retirement, and job security. The pay is OK, but the private sector is usually better. Oh and a desire to serve. Now tRump wants a new classification — G. Must stand for grovel. Only serve during time the administration is in office. So much for job security and retirement.

President Trump penned a new executive order on Thursday to form a new classification of noncareer federal employees who will be hired to “help faithfully implement the President’s policy agenda.” The employees will be listed under the classification “Schedule G” and will engage in “policy-making or policy-advocating work,” according to the White House. Schedule G jobs will be noncareer positions, which will “generally” be expected to end once the president who appointed them leaves the Oval Office. The classification does not apply to career positions or career workers. “President Trump believes creating non-career Schedule G positions will enhance government efficiency and accountability and improve services provided to taxpayers by increasing the horsepower for agency implementation of Administration policy,” the White House said on Thursday.
The White House has argued that the new classification of federal government employees will boost operations, especially at the Department of Veterans Affairs, “by streamlining appointments for key policy roles.”

I would say 3 more years of this insanity and the Republic will fall from within, but I figure due to health or mental state we’ll have JD at the top long before then. Redecorating the Oval Office with sofas.
