Photo Diary: "Good Trouble" Protest in St Pete FL [1]

Date: 2025-07-18

July 17 was a “Make Good Trouble” day of protest, with rallies and demonstrations held in every major city. The local rally in St Petersburg FL was held in Williams Park, right in the middle of downtown. I would guesstimate about 2500 people there—very good for a political event in Florida in summertime on a weekday when it was supposed to rain (but never did). I could hear them chanting and cheering from three blocks away.

Williams Park is a hangout for the local homeless (at least until Johnny Law comes in and sweeps them all out)
