Who’s on the list, to diss? [1]

I’ve refrained from commenting on the list debacle because when it comes to the rich and powerful it’s really hard to know who is guilty or not. And yes just as with Tacoman I will not name the listmaker because I refuse to boost algorithms with their names.
At this point even if an “official” list came out, it would have zero credibility for me. Too many hands, too many bribes. Any “recent” videos will be suspect because AI manipulation is common place now. So unless victims choose to come out to the public, via interviews or books I think we are screwed on that end.
Speaking of victims, most seem not to be thinking about them. I know there was Virginia who unalived herself, but there were 200+ victims? What do they get out of this? Most of them would be adults by now I would figure? By the way, am I the only one who thinks that Leavitt might be a product of that island? She’s a victim of someone that’s for certain.
I don’t think we will ever ourselves know the truth of what transpired on that island, nor which rich and powerful except the ones we already know were involved. Maybe in 50 years or later some version of the truth might come out, most of us will no longer be around to see it.
Part of the maga cult will splinter off, go back to their Q roots, the podcasters will drift in and out of maga as usual, and tacoman man will expire eventually and that will be the end for a lot of magas who will slinker back into anonymity one hopes. Some of the GOP members will be sacrificed, others will keep on winning their states and the world will keep going.
The victims of that island will continue to hide their identity, living in secrecy with the scars and nightmares of their abuse and one can only hope they find shoulders to lean on, strength to carry on and a purpose to make it through life despite their ordeals.
What I really resent about this whole thing, is the way some are gleefully enjoying this as a “boon” for the democrats, for while all sides claim to be thinking of the victims, not many on any side seem to be thinking of them at all in the moment. And I think of how it must feel to be one of those survivors right now and be watching the news and hearing how the story of your abuse has become nothing more than a “boon” for a political party. Most people just want to see “who’s on the list” to diss, that’s it.
As with a great many things these days, the discourse around this story is cringe-worthy, it is disgusting and disturbing, because frankly our inhumanity is so high these days, we tend to forget every human element in our story telling to focus on the “cringe” parts.
We focus on the fact that migrants being detained won’t be able to “pick our food” even as we talk of their inhumane treatment. The survivors of the island the focus is how this benefits us, how can we use this story to crush each other. 500 tons of food being burnt? The focus? Who is doing it, not who is going to die because of it.
Sometimes I sit here wondering how much longer I want to live in this world, where, as I strive every month to keep a mere 60 families fed for another month, food that could feed 1.5 million people is burnt to a crisp. Where on social platforms filled with the good guys, I barely raise 100$ when I ask I got lucky a couple of months and raised 1K, those days are over.
I wonder what kind of a world my kid is going to live with after I’m gone… will humanity meet the moment or not… how often have I wished I lived in boring uninteresting times. Boredom is underrated.
