Pelosi says Epstein uproar is a "distraction". Why is she using Trump's talking point???? [1]

Nancy Pelosi was just on MSNBC saying that the Epstein uproar is a fiasco.
Now, lest anyone wonder, I have long been a Pelosi admirer. I think she may have been the most effective Speaker in the history of the United States House of Representatives. But there’s a lot to be said for quitting while you’re ahead instead of hanging on and tarnishing your legacy beyond recognition. If you don’t believe me, ask Joe Biden.
“Is it your sense that there’s anything the president can do now to get his supporters to move off of the Epstein issue? Should he? Where do you land on this?” That was the question posed to Pelosi.
Her response? “Well, you know, again this is a distraction. We have major issues right here with things we’re voting on today in the Congress that, again, in terms of the recission that the president and the Senate have sent back to cut all of these resources out of helping poor people throughout the world to be… America play its leadership role and soft power to keep us safe and to keep us healthy so that we… Viruses know no boundary. And instead, we’re talking about him, about this thing, and his own base has its own views about what the president should do. I’ll leave it up to them to talk it out.”
SMH. OMG. Just shoot me and put me out of my misery.
This is a pathetic answer on so many levels, not the least of which is the very obvious one of people hearing it and saying, “Oh, she doesn’t want us talking about it either? She must be in on it, too!”
But it’s far worse than that. Democrats have been given an enormous opportunity and Pelosi, the once wizard extraordinaire of all things political, spectacularly blew it.
The right answer is, “I’m not in the business of advising the president to move his voters one way or the other. But according to the oath of office I took, I AM in the business of ensuring domestic tranquility, promoting the general welfare, and securing the blessings of liberty to the great citizens of this nation. If the president is covering up information that is allowing sex traffickers or their clients to roam free on the streets, then I am with his voters and all other Americans who want that information revealed so that we can prosecute the guilty and keep our children safe.”
Is it that hard?
Nancy Pelosi is out of touch. It’s been far too long since she’s washed her own clothes, paid her own bills, cooked her own meals, driven herself anywhere, or done any of the zillions of things her constituents do every day with no assistance from paid help. And now she looks like she’s covering up for others in the circles she runs in.
I promise you that’s how much of America will see this.
