This news comes courtesy of an email from the Zeteo news organization: Seven Democratic Senators and seven Republican Senators posed on July 9, 2025 for a friendly photo with ICC war criminal - and leader of genocidal policy against the Palestinian people of Gaza - Benjamin Netanyahu.

The fourteen U.S. Senators were:

Adam Schiff (D-California)

(D-California) Chuck Schumer (D-New York)

(D-New York) Jacky Rosen (D-Nevada)

(D-Nevada) Maria Cantwell (D-Washington)

(D-Washington) Chris Coons (D-Delaware)

(D-Delaware) Amy Klobuchar (D-Minnesota)

(D-Minnesota) Cory Booker (D-New Jersey)

(D-New Jersey) Ted Cruz (R-Texas)

(R-Texas) Jim Risch (R-Idaho)

(R-Idaho) Steve Daines (R-Montana)

(R-Montana) Bill Cassidy (R-Louisiana)

(R-Louisiana) Dave McCormick (R-Pennsylvania)

(R-Pennsylvania) John Thune (R-South Dakota)

(R-South Dakota) Jon Husted (R-Ohio)

Why? One might ask. How could U.S. Senators give this person — responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent people and the current, unnecessary and deliberate starvation of children — the imprimatur of legitimacy and collegiality? You could ask the Senators themselves that question but they probably won’t answer truthfully. They might say something about statehood, diplomacy, dignity.

There is nothing diplomatic or dignified about genocide though. What Netanyahu is leading his government to do deserves nothing but condemnation and stoppage.

But we know that AIPAC - the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee - that boosted and funded candidates to run against those opposing the Israeli War on Gaza - gives campaign money to Democratic Congressional members as well as to Republican Congressional members. We also know that defense contractors here in the U.S. and elsewhere are making big money from the Israeli War on Gaza and those who are invested in such funds — knowingly or unknowingly — are profiting by this war.

The collegial photograph appears to be driven by money. We, in the U.S., are selling out humanity for campaign donations and investment portfolios.

The systems are broken.
