Who can explain how the medicaid work requirement is going to work? [1]

In the words of Capt Barbossa, I’m naught by a humble pirate… In response to Elizabeth Swan’s long-worded speech in POTC-I. I’m looking for some brainy people to help.

Was thinking about this today… HOW is the Federal Government and/or states going to track the 20-hours-per-week work requirement? Or the 80-hours-per-month work requirement?

That’s not submitted to governmental agencies, at least that I’m aware of. Sure it all shows up on a pay stub, and the various state agencies can access income reports. But how are they going to make sure someone STAYS in compliance? They going to check weekly? Monthly? What if someone doesn’t make the 80 hours per month threshold for a month? They going to drop them, just to re-enroll them the next month when they do?

And THEN single-out the ‘able-bodies’ from the folks in nursing homes, respite care, etc. And we all know that many people on Medicaid are already working one or more jobs part-time just to survive.

And what about self-employed gig workers… or even just small businesses in general. As a small business owner, I work WAY more than 40 hours a week on business activities, but I don’t get paid for that.

This just sounds like complete unmitigated BS to me…
