Last month, we got the news the Trump administration is coming after the “Great Orange Satan” in order to shut down all the truth coming out of the site.
Just us?
That remains to be seen.
If they do shut down the DKos, it will give all of us more time to be out on the streets, protesting and making good trouble.
Until we take our country back.
I was lucky enough to be able to peruse the latest copy of Vanity Fair magazine (another resident subscribes and then leaves it for others to read) the July/August edition with Pedro Pascale on the cover. I urge you to glance at two articles at the library/grocery store/bookstore. I apologize for linking to paywalled stories but, well worth the time to read.
1) A Modern Prometheus by Cristian Farias about how Chief Justice Roberts ignored a rule in order to make sure Citizen’s United was decided the way he wanted. Pg. 34 (not online, sorry)
2) The Godfather Presidency by Sam Tanenhaus about how the current administration echoes back to the machine/mob days of the 1930’s. Pg. 52
Last week was July 4th, our Independence Day
Wow, you couldn’t write a scarier scenario.
Instead of being invaded by telepathic aliens-we’re being taken over by bully boy authoritarians who are bumbling the economy, thwarting our rights and trying to sell off everything not nailed down to give the rich even more money.
Get off the couch and into the streets. Raise your voice while you still have one.
Netflix can wait. Binge watch once the season is over. Get outside and raise your voice now.
