I’d say this was a bad sign for Russian defense industries and the economy in general.

x Non-payment crisis in the Russian defense industry The manufacturer of the Tu-160 and Tu-95MS strategic bombers was demanded to pay almost a billion rubles

The Ministry of Defense filed a lawsuit against Tupolev www1.ru/news/2025/06...

Shahed experiences Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly over Odesa.

x Moment a Russian Shahed drone is shot down over Odesa on Sunday morning. Some reports suggest it was intercepted by another drone.

Paranoia has gripped Moscow.

x Russia: Police checkpoints at all entries into Moscow. Trucks and buses large and small are being searched for drones, in anticipation of another Ukrainian attack like Operation Spiderweb which destroyed dozens of long-range bombers all across Russia.

Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

Given enough time and resources Ukraine won’t need so many Western weapons.

x Russian military channels report Ukraine is nearing final development and production of the HRIM-2 ballistic missile. Comparable to ATACMS, it reportedly has a 200–500 km range, 100–350 kg warheads, and speeds up to 3,000 m/s. A major step in Ukraine’s strike capability.

This looks like a great air defense system, but I wish they could come up with a different name.

x 💥 Ukraine: German Rheinmetall Skynex air defense cannon in action shooting down Russian Shahed drones. The system fires 35mm AHEAD (Advanced Hit Efficiency and Destruction) rounds with proximity fuses. Efficient indeed!

This post doesn’t specify what weapons are being sent but I’m guessing it isn’t Taurus.

x German Major General Freuding says delivery of mass-produced long-range weapon systems funded by Germany and co-developed with Ukraine will begin this month.

Could be Ukrainian Sapsan ballistic missiles with German tech to extend range & improve precision. Massive 480kg warhead.

x A Russian source post an image of a new Ukrainian long-range jet UAV which may be the "long-range" weapon that Germany helped fund. It looks like something you can produce several hundred of each month. "Kukuruznik" or "corncob" refers to a propeller plane. #OSINT #UkraineRussiaWar @CovertShores

Russia’s army in Ukraine has grown to 700k

x Russia's military grouping against Ukraine has grown to over 700,000 troops, according to Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service. This marks an increase from May, when the figure stood at around 640,000.

Makes you wonder what their real crime was.

x Russia: Two Air Force officers each sentenced to 7 years in prison for embezzling millions of dollars over 9 years by writing off radar station components as 'defective' and then selling them. They were caught in 2021.

How to stop a Russian motorcycle assault.

Russia’s ongoing blitz against civilians targeted Chernivtsi and Lviv last night.

Chernivtsi is also in western Ukraine, just across the border from Romania.

x Russian massive attack on #Ukraine last night: two killed and 14 injured in Chernivtsi; six injured in Lviv. ▪️Two people were killed on the spot by falling debris in Chernivtsi - a 26-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man Residential buildings, administrative offices, shops, cars were also damaged.

[image or embed] — Anton Gerashchenko (@antongerashchenko.bsky.social) July 12, 2025 at 2:20 AM

x The number of casualties in russian strike on Chernivtsi has risen to 26. Details have emerged about the two fatalities. Diana Kravchenko, 26, was the manager of a Chernivtsi pharmacy. She was in a building during the missile attack Sviatoslav Lazarenko, 43, an employee of the Sniatyn City Council

Chernivtsi is also the city where Russia forced the evacuation of a children’s hospice.

x Last night, Chernivtsi came under a savage attack again. I was thinking about the House of Butterflies hospice today and just came across an update. Doctors arranged the sleeping of children in the shelter in advance for their safety. — Olena Halushka (@halushka.bsky.social) July 12, 2025 at 10:04 AM

x However, during the raid, one little girl stopped breathing. The doctors resuscitated her.

Most of these kids were already evacuated from war zones. Even the sound of explosions reopens their trauma.

Don't look away. This is so cruel. They deserve nothing of what they get.

Good grief.

Solzhenitsyn should be required reading for these idiots.

Hmmm. I wonder if this would also work on an unruly 3-year-old screaming and running up and down the aisles of the grocery store.

Lavrov goes to Pyongyang to beg Kim for more cannon fodder and equipment.

Maybe we should send each of them a lifetime supply of unfiltered Marlboros.

Are they fucking serious?

Another 1,070 Russians, but no tanks.

Trump would have come in first, right? And then he would have played 36 holes of golf and gotten four holes in one.

x ❗️🇫🇮Finnish President Alexander Stubb came in second place in a triathlon competition, in which he participated incognito under the pseudonym AS, - Ilta-Sanomat His name was announced after the finish line. He swam 750 meters, cycled 20 kilometers and ran five kilometers in 1:04:19.

This guy makes a lot of sense. Too bad it’s three and a half years late.

x Terrorist and former "people's governor of Donbas"Pavel Gubarev stated that it would have been better not to launch the "special military operation" at all "Damn, three& a half yrs!The number of casualties exceeds a million.Nothing changes for us —we're still being thrown into meat-grinder assaults⤵️

[image or embed] — Anton Gerashchenko (@antongerashchenko.bsky.social) July 11, 2025 at 3:52 PM

At this pace, how many years will it take us [to fight]? Probably 20 years to 'liberate' everything. If you look at how many cities we've taken — it's a shame. Neither they [Ukrainians] nor we [Russians] can call this a victory anymore — it's a defeat," Gubarev said.

He also raised questions about the "goals of the SMO." "It's completely unclear what they [the Russian authorities] even want... Do we need territory — for what? Do we need 'living space' — for what? Who's going to populate it? Tajiks and Uzbeks? Or do we need to defeat Ukraine, meaning force it to capitulate - in that case, other questions arise. Why aren't we hitting supply routes, decision- making centers? Why aren't we turning everything into dust?" he said. Gubarev considers the start of the "special military operation" to be betrayal, and the plan to take Kyiv be insane. "The start of the special military operation is also a betrayal. Because it felt like we were being sent to the slaughter. The objectives were framed as a police operation. For my specific battalion, the task was to seize the center of Kyiv, where the Right Sector was located, and hold it. We never even made it to Kyiv. The enemy put up fierce resistance, and we suffered enormous losses. The elite units that were attacking there - paratroopers, GRU special forces, and so on - they lost up to half their personnel, killed and wounded," he said.

This is pretty scummy. Fraud and profiteering is, unfortunately, not uncommon during wartime. Harry Truman became famous for his work to combat profiteering during WWII.

x According to The Telegraph, some European companies are posing as partners to gain access to Ukrainian drone innovations — only to rebrand and commercialize them as their own.👇

Others label drones “battle-tested” after brief demonstrations in Lviv, far from the actual front line. While Ukraine fights for survival, others are profiting from its ingenuity.

Rest in peace.

x A 21-year-old Hungarian citizen, Aser Benjámin, who fought as a volunteer in the Ukrainian Defense Forces, was killed in battle with Russian forces militarnyi.com/en/news/volu...

This is from the Russian attack on Odesa yesterday.

WARNING: It might just break your heart.

x “This was my whole life. They weren’t just animals. The stable is gone.” russian drones destroyed a stable in Odesa, killing a mare named Camellia and injuring another horse, Sigma. Camellia was 20 y.o.

russian strikes claim lives daily. Help stop this:

This is the side of Ukraine that we all like to see — courage and strength in the face of danger.

But civilian life during war is not all about defiance and strength and heroism.

There is plenty of fear and depression and uncertainty. I have come across a lot more of that in recent months and wanted to share a small sample.

x Packed clothes for tomorrow in my tote bag and left it near the front door – because if my building gets hit by Shahed drone or missile and I survive, work in the morning is still on. #UkrainianView — Alina Poliakova 🇺🇦 (@poliakova.bsky.social) July 11, 2025 at 4:05 PM

x I'm just exhausted. And honestly i returned to the state which in Ukraine we call "pohyy+poiebat", the closest translation is "fuck it all".

I stopped worrying about my life because I don't know whether I survive in another attack or not.
