Look who’s calling Superman WOKE [1]

There is no reason people have to know the history of Superman. The character created by two Jewish teen before World War Two, who were very aware of the injustice being done to Jews in Europe.
By the time Hitler rose to power, Superman comic books and comic strips and animated cartons by Max Fleischer had taken off and had launched into a radio show where the credo, of standing for “ Truth, Liberty and the American Way” was added to hisnintroduction.
When Superman started, he was fighting for the downtrodden. He battled small time hoods, important but corrupt politicians and any groups that targeted the immigrants.
Being an alien from the planet Krypton, his parents taught him that his super powers could be used to help the world fight evil. Empathy, sympathy and feeling outrage at injustice was ingrained in him and that’s why Superman was popular at a time when cynicism at human cruelty often piqued.
Now the latest Superman film by James Gunn has reignited that character of care and empathy. But now set in the 21 century run by social media, he is now vilified as being an illegal alien with an ulterior motive. Superman fights and wins the day over the richest man in the world Lex Luthor and all ends well as any comic book should.
But MAGA is angry.
the same people who love the idea of concentration camps and feeding immigrants to alligators are angry at how the topic of anti immigration is treated in the film.
it now calls the film WOKE and therefore unwatchable.
Their goal is to make Superman go the route of Little Mermaid and SNOW WHITE that upset the white supremacists because the titular characters were played by minority women.
It’s a ridiculous topic to be arguing about. But MAGA is a ridiculous gathering of childish imbeciles so naturally is good for a cartoon.
