Liberia was founded by [checks notes]…Americans. The capital is named after James Monroe. The flag is basically American.

It’s not just that English is Liberia’s official language. It’s that English has always been its language because the country was founded by former enslaved Americans.

No truth to the rumor that Trump then asked President Boakai which books he had banned.
