We all know the MSM has not been doing enough over the last decade to get Americans to understand how awful the convicted felon is for our country. Hell, some of them — looking at you, Paramount/CBS — are offering free advertising in order to get a deal approved. Moreover, the White House press, which was perpetually rude to President Biden, constantly bows and scrapes and kisses up to tRump. Last night (July 8, 2025, see some of it below) Lawrence O’Donnell of The Last Word called them accessories — both as in little doo-dads you wear to make yourself look better, but also accessories in tRump’s many crimes. They rarely ask hard questions, and when they do but don’t get answers, they don’t press; they don’t correct lies and contradictions. O’Donnell conceded that being part of the WH press corps must be very frustrating. If you do your job, you lose your job, because you won’t be allowed back. What should they do? Well, the best thing would be for them to band together and insist on truth and integrity. But with outfits like FOX around, that’s very hard to do. Also, there are tRump’s distractions, and we must admit, he is good at that. It is exhausting to keep up with everything.

At any rate, here are some of the stories that tRump does not want you to see, as he tries to steal everything he can from everyone and to ruin the country for the present and the future.

TRUMP’S COGNITIVE DECLINE

More people and news outlets are noticing tRump’s cognitive decline Allie Zehra RawStory

President Donald Trump seemed to stumble when responding to a reporter’s question during a press conference in Florida on Tuesday, where he had traveled for the opening of “Alligator Alcatraz,” a controversial detention facility designed to accommodate migrants.

There’s also this:

x The president rambled, boasted, appeared to immediately contradict his own comments and more. — HuffPost (@huffpost.com) 2025-07-08T08:56:09.965Z

From the huffpost link: Donald Trump was asked by a reporter on Monday to explain what had happened to his administration’s promise to seal “90 trade deals in 90 days.” Instead of outlining the dozens of deals with foreign countries that he previously boasted would be completed by Wednesday — the 90-day mark since his so-called April “Liberation Day” — the president just waffled, talked about a couple of frameworks and possible deals in place and then appeared to suggest his plan now mainly involved sending letters to foreign governments and telling them the tariffs that their products will now be subjected to, when they are imported into America.

The tariffs are stupid.

First, most Americans don’t think the tariffs will lower prices. This is from a recent YouGov poll Taylor Orth, David Montgomery

72% of Americans think that Trump's tariffs will increase the prices they pay, including 39% who expect they will increase prices a lot and 33% a little. Majorities of Democrats (90%) and Republicans (59%) think the tariffs will lead to price increases Only 5% of Americans — including 2% of Democrats and 9% of Republicans — expect tariffs will decrease prices

GOVERNMENT CUTS MEANS CUTTING SERVICES

We’re seeing this in FEMA:

x The administration's cuts were in the news today as Marisa Kabas of The Handbasket reported that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has just 86 people deployed in Texas today although Trump declared a disaster on Sunday — (@tq1bluedog.bsky.social) 2025-07-09T11:32:17.928Z

Cutting the government means cutting the preparations:

x Thinking about a disaster preparedness expert who recently told me Trump gutting the government would mean Americans would die—it’s important to connect the dots as it starts to happen www.nytimes.com/2025/07/05/u... — Amanda Katz (@katzish.bsky.social) 2025-07-06T11:55:07.759Z

That bill is really unpopular

I know we’ve talked a lot about it here, but repetition is good. Those Medicaid cuts will be devastating

x Via @chatlanis.bsky.social, Kim Krisberg & @stateline.org: In Louisiana, where almost half of residents depended on Medicaid in 2023, Medicaid cuts could cost the state up to $35 billion in federal Medicaid support over the next decade, according to KFF, a health policy research group. — Alabama Reflector (@alabamareflector.com) 2025-07-06T12:33:14.551Z

We need to keep hammering it home.

And there are the Epstein files.

This seems to be especially triggering for the tRump and for MAGA. Alex Jones — yes, the Alex Jones who lied about Sandy Hook — is very upset that these files are not going to be released.

x The DOJ says there’s no client list and Epstein wasn’t murdered, which means there’s DEFINITELY a client list and Epstein was murdered. — Dana Goldberg (@dgcomedy.bsky.social) 2025-07-07T17:24:20.297Z

I cannot understand why anyone could think that this administration would release the Epstein files. I mean, come on! Maybe Bondi had something on her desk. I hope the files still exist, somewhere. And I wish Biden had released them.

These are just a few of the stories that tRump doesn’t want us to see or to elevate. Please, add more in the comments.

🐦 I do a lot of other writing. Newest offerings: Messing with the Myths — two books so far in this series. Older offerings: the Crow Nickels (chronicles), about crows who want to save birdkind from extinction (Hunters of the Feather). Mysteries based on Jane Austen’s novels, such as The Meryton Murders. Others based on history and Greek mythology, e.g., Jocasta: The Mother-Wife of Oedipus. All titles also available through Kindle Unlimited. Want to support me but not interested in my books? Buy one and donate to a library.

Our MSM is a huge problem. Until they tell the truth, and insist on the truth, they are making progress more difficult. Which is bad, not just for our country and the world, but even for them, because I think some of them care about journalism.

We will only get the truth if we demand the truth.

But — alas — not everyone wants the truth. Not everyone cares if the numbers add up. Until enough of us care, very loudly, we will be subjected to so much garbage.

On the other hand, pushing back can make a difference. Rome wasn’t built in a day, but brick by brick.

So let’s start hurling — I mean laying — some bricks. And have some hope. Look what has been done to the profits of Tesla!
