Digby has put together another collection of video clips.
Again this is Trump showing how the neurons in his brain are firing like bumper cars in an amusement park. While the media may highlight one or two particularly outrageous ones, they largely continue to ignore the overall cumulative effect when taken all together.
They clearly show someone whose brain is visibly deteriorating. (Epstein versus flooding? Gold paint versus gold leaf?) And yet the media acts as though this somehow normal, just Trump being Trump. IOKIYAR.
If that was not enough, the people around him continue to extend the limits of the unreality vortex that centers around him.
The Secretary of Agriculture suggests mass deportations of farm workers can continue without problems; they can just be replaced by automation and people forced to meet work requirements to stay on Medicaid. Easy-peasey.
ICE stormtroopers swarm MacArthur Park in Los Angeles in a staged show of force — “Shock & Awe” against children fleeing them. They do it because they can. They’re looking forward to running a national network of concentration camps. More “good American jobs.”
Border Czar Tom Homan threatens to flood NYC with immigration goons if Mamdani becomes mayor. (That’s assuming Trump doesn’t have him deported first.)
Andy Borowitz posts a gag story on Substack that reports Stephen Miller has convened an emergency meeting in the White House to figure out how to blame Texas flooding on immigrants. It’s not true — it’s black humor — but it’s too damn plausible to dismiss.
Bibi Netanyahu has nominated Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize. Bombing Iran to the negotiating table — what a concept! The NY Times is already calling it a win for Trump in the Middle East.
And here we are.
