You’ve heard it all, my words won’t move you either [1]

There isn’t anything that could be said, that hasn’t been said to you. People have appealed to your faith, humanity, ethics, empathy, integrity, patriotism, anything and everything they could think of, to try and steer you back onto sanity, nothing has worked.

You’ve been cajoled, yelled at, mocked, tempted, bribed, and not a single thing has worked to break through to you. Nothing has changed the path you’ve set us all on, the path to authoritarianism. The destruction of our ideals litters the road you’ve chosen, and you don’t care.

I do not know if it’s fear, cowardice, greed or lust for power which motivates you and at this point in time I frankly do not care. You’ve turned into monsters, the same our country has fought for decades, today you are the monsters.

This country that has gone the world over planting the seeds of democracy, today your mission seems to be to uproot the roots of democracy from our own country. What was our pride and glory, you’ve deemed today to be anathema to your new or should I say old ideals of a white Christian nationalist supremacist country, with all the hate that entails, and you are fine with your decision.

While others may be fooled by your speeches and grandstanding, I’m not, I know the goal of these exercises in cruelty and barbarity is nothing more than your expression of hate and rage at those of us whose skin tones do not compare to yours. It would be hard to miss as even now you strive to find way around your own constitution to have an excuse to deport those you once crossed the oceans to buy and enslave. We are not fooled.

These words of mine are not a way to try and reach you, there’s nothing to reach, no value I care to engage with, nothing I wish to be close to. You’ve revealed to the world what we knew all along, what we’ve been saying all along that the famed United States of America is nothing more but a cesspool of hate, racism, sexism and bigotry.

As tomorrow you done your fake patriotism to celebrate the independence of this country as you strip the rights and freedom of its children, I will not be joining in that celebration. I will be plotting the ways in which those of us who still have dreams, can reclaim our country from the likes of you, who have failed the most basic test of humanity… love for humanity itself.
