Our Democratic congressional members have literally been working around the clock this past week to do all that they can to minimize the damage by the republican party’s unprecedented and destructive reconciliation budget bill.
They deserve lots of credit for their work, and the work of their staff.
Please call them and thank them. Because like us, this is how they’re feeling.

This picture brought literal tears to my eyes. Imagine if you were a member of Congress feeling inspired to help your constituents and seeing those efforts fail because of the cult that is the republican party. Our members sacrifice family time in times like this. They work extra hard to be prepared for the few minutes they have during committee hearings, and any floor speeches they make.
They take on the stress an anxiety of their constituents and this is why Rep. Jimmy Gomez who represents parts of Los Angeles is sitting on the steps of the Capitol emotionally and physically exhausted.
