TOFU TACO calls for Jerome Powell to resign over a roof garden [1]

The Federal Reserve building needs to be renovated. The National Capital Planning Commission has the explanation of why:
The Federal Reserve Board is proposed to renovate and expand the Eccles Building and the FRB-East building to address a critical backlog of upgrades; respond to changes in building codes and regulatory requirements, accommodate information technology requirements, building security provisions, advancements in environmental efficiency; and address increased utility demands imposed by an increasing building population.
That's a pretty convincing description of why it needs to be renovated. So what's the problem?
Bill Pulte, the head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, FHFA, which is controlling Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, seems to think that Jerome Powell is wasting money for the renovation by having two rooftop gardens.
Every post on Pulte's X account is an attack on Jerome Powell, the Federal Reserve Chairman. Just as a for instance, here he calls on Tommy Tuberville to be an expert in banking.
The latest attack was when Pulte got hold of the renovation plans and spotted the gardens.
Powell was asked at a hearing by Senate Banking Chair Tim Scott about the design after the New York Times referred to it as the "Palace of Versailles." It's not.
So Donald Trump decided to use Pulte's anger and fired off a post of his own.
Trump referenced this Bloomberg article (behind paywall).
"Too Late" should resign immediately!!!"
Trump's patience at the Federal Reserve Board not dropping interest rates has come to an apex.
The problem is that in talking to the Senators, Powell said, "There's no VIP dining room. There's no new marble. There are no special elevators. There are no new water features. There's no beehives, and there's no roof terrace gardens."
It was that last sentence that got him in trouble. The plan was originally submitted to the National Capital Planning Commission in 2021. He may have forgotten about the feature of there being two pairs of vegetated roof spaces. Only one is described as occupiable space. The other one can only be accessed by maintenance.
That's what this is all about. Trump will pick up any piece of ammunition he can use against Powell to get him to resign, because he cannot fire him.
There's a 116 page set of the description and plans (PDF 5mb) from September, 2021. There's also an 87 page plan with artist concept pictures (PDF 25mb). Nobody said boo for 4 years.
Powell's enemies, especially Trump, are grasping at straws. And Trump just made us use plastic ones again.
