Relational organizing is the key to winning in 2026. We know it and Arizona Democrats know it too. [1]

We have big news. Today, the campaigns of Governor Katie Hobbs, Attorney General Kris Mayes, and Secretary of State Adrian Fontes announced their partnership with the Navajo County Democratic Party ahead of the 2026 elections. In light of the continued abuses of the Trump Administration, this move will enable our statewide elected Democrats to better meet voters where they are and address their concerns head-on. Moreover, it will foster better coordination between county parties and organizing efforts across the states.
So how did we get here? To answer that, we have to go back to earlier this year. In February, 2025, Arizona Native Democrats released its impact report showing that our programs increased turnout, new voter participation, Democratic support, and ballot completion across Arizona’s sovereign lands for the third election cycle in a row. AND, for the third cycle in a row, our programs outperformed the state party on all of these metrics. You can read the full report here.
During this time, our Statewide elected Democrats were planning their paths to re-election and making strategic decisions about the best way to engage and persuade voters in 2026. It’s not surprising that they chose the Navajo County Democrats as a key partner in this goal.
The Arizona Native Democrats is a project of the Navajo County Democrats and shares resources with the county party. We are also the state’s foremost experts on building effective relational organizing programs. With this partnership in place, AND will be able to bring in more resources to expand our existing programs to all 22 federally recognized tribes in Arizona. We will also be able to build new partnerships with organizations like the ADLCC to bring relational organizing to other parts of the state, including the highly flippable legislative districts 16 & 23.
Our task now is to build on our success from last year, work with our new partners, and translate our efficacy into Democratic wins up and down the ballot. Our Programs Director & NCDC Chair said it best:
How you can help:
>>Become a recurring donor today to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
>>Sign-Up to be a volunteer with the coordinated campaign
>>Follow us on Facebook & Bluesky
Together, we WILL win in 2026.
