This was a comment and I was encouraged to make it a diary. I hope it is meaningful to the KOS family. It is to me.
That we are faced with this moment requires a undying commitment to keep our eyes firmly on the abuse, the suffering and the cruelty that we are forced to witness.
The truth is not to be feared no matter how painful it can be for us to bare.
The refusal to deny the truth when we are threatened and punished for doing so is our burden to bare.
The refusal to bend to the will of oppression is our responsibility to ourselves and every human being who needs our example to stay strong in the face of adversity and under threat of abuse, no matter how small or how dire.
We are responsible to our children and their future to stand firm against lies and the smallest transgression against every single one of us.
Peaceful resistance is the most powerful and only means to end the abuse on us. The truth is our weapon.
United in defense of the truth is real power.
We have only one path, the truth. Do not be deterred. Do not waiver from that path. Do not surrender to the attack on it. We have no choice if we are to be able to look our children and our fellow Americans in the eye ever again.
We are now at the cross roads that has us frightened and unable to feel safe.
It is here. Today and for the foreseeable future.
The damage is now deep and broad.
The road to repairing this nation and saving the people in it from suffering ,is going to be long and hard. We cannot tire, and we cannot surrender a moment to rest or a bit of ground regarding the truth.
This is our calling as a people.
We own the future of this nation.
We cannot fail.
Get to work. Unite and be who we are supposed to be. Americans. True Americans.
