Trump vs. Khamenei: Round Two [1]

A long post from Trump yesterday tried to deflect his ineffectiveness in dealing with the bad PR that nobody knows anything about the Iranian highly enriched uranium, HEU. Nobody knows the real damage to the facilities.

News reports have confirmed my suspicions that when Truth Social went down immediately after Trump announced the raid in Iran, it was a distributed denial of services attack by Iranian hackers.

Fresh off his non-convincing "obliteration" tour, Donald decided to take a shot at Khamenei while he was down.

Part 1 There's this new symbol next to the verification checkmark that just showed up yesterday. Looks like a cross with a blue dab on the left. Checked Truth Social and there is no info on it. He's the only one I've found it on.

"Why with the so-called 'Supreme Leader,' Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, of the war torn Country of Iran, say so blatantly and foolishly that he had won the War with Israel, when he knows this statement is a lie, it is not so."

Donald. You know the value of propaganda. What would you expect him to do? Perhaps it's because Israel did so much damage, and the US did so much damage, and he still has the enriched uranium and centrifuges ready to go. Still wonder what the use of it is if they aren't building a bomb. US intelligence said they weren't building a bomb, Israelis said they were.

"As a man of great faith, he is not supposed to lie."

The world's biggest liar is complaining about another man doing the same. Of course, it's impossible to call Trump a man of great faith. The only faith he has is in the almighty dollar.

"His Country was decimated, his three evil Nuclear Sites were OBLITERATED..."

Decimate used to mean 10%, but it's become in such common usage as meaning destruction that it's pointless to quibble about it now. Three evil nuclear sites. I suppose it's easy to look at it as evil. But he still hasn't gotten off the "obliterated," "obliteration" tour.

"... I knew EXACTLY where he was sheltered, and would not let Israel, or the U.S. Armed Forces, by far the Greatest and most Powerful in the World, terminate his life."

Israel did have plans to take out Khamenei during their attacks on Iran, but apparently the option didn't present itself as doable. They're definitely not going to do it now that there is a ceasefire. How long will the ceasefire last? Trump just talked about calling Iran next week to talk about a possible peace agreement.

"I SAVED HIM FROM A VERY UGLY AND IGNOMINIOUS DEATH, and he does not have to say, 'THANK YOU, PRESIDENT TRUMP!'"

How magnanimous of Donald. I want to know why he stopped using all caps in the middle of a sentence. He really is on a high horse. Probably one with rockers.

Part 2

"... in the final act of the war, I demanded that Israel bring back a large group of planes, which we're heading directly to Tehran, looking for a big day, perhaps the final knockout!"

I don't know about you, but calling back planes so they don't attack is not an act of war. It's an act of peace. So, Trump doesn't need Khamenei to thank him, but he's already leading up to the other option, which is all of Iran needs to thank him.

He whines about all the things that he has done for Iran, which isn't blowing them up to kingdom come. He was even thinking about removing sanctions to get their economy back up and running.

"But no, instead I get hit with a statement of anger, hatred, and disgust, and immediately dropped all sanctions work."

His poor little feefee got hurt. What was he expecting? A medal or a chest to pin it on?

"Iran has to get back into the World Order flow, or things will get worse for them."

World order? As in New World order? Isn't that what all the isolationists are crazy about not allowing happening? The United States is the one that has fallen out of the world order first by the tariffs, and then now with this attack on Iran.

"They are always so angry, hostile, and unhappy, and look what it has gotten them ---"

That was nothing. Then he really lays a bunch of insults on Iran. Blown up country, decimated military, horrible economy and death. So why aren't they at your bargaining table, Donald?

"They have no hope, and it will only get worse!"

Donald is such a downer. He never has nice things to say about anybody unless it's his loyalists sucking his toes.

"I wish the leadership of Iran would realize that you often get more with HONEY than you do with VINEGAR!"

That phrase is about catching flies, Donald. You catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar, is the original phrase. So is Donald just calling them a bunch of bugs?

"PEACE!!!"

With Trump saying it, I'm thinking more of the scene in "Independence Day" where Will Smith has just shot that nuclear missile into the alien's control room, and says it.

After everything he's just said. Insulting Khamenei and Iran over and over again. With Israel going to want to do some more work to deal with the missing enriched uranium, I don't see a peace process starting anytime soon.

Here's what Khamenei had to say:

He called Trump a "big mouth." He needs to write copy for MSNBC. From Khamenei's point of view, he's still got control of the country. The parliament has voted to close the Strait of Hormuz and throw out the IAEA inspectors and end observation of their nuclear program. Now it'll be up to intelligence agencies alone to figure out what's going on. There's been no further action on the Strait, but the inspectors are going to go.

I like the "Iran delivered a heavy slap to the US's face." Sounds like a wuss to me. We're all assuming Khamenei is holed up in a bunker somewhere. He was in a state video on the 26th, just in front of brown curtains. I was wondering if his next appearance would be AI generated with no one else in the video, meaning the Israelis got him, but there is no sign of AI in the video. If anything, it shows him to be a tired old man. He's 86 and has been ruling Iran since 1989.

So, is Donald Trump going to be the peacemaker, or the war monger? He was enjoying it way too much describing Pete Hegseth as the Secretary of War the other day. There hasn't been a Secretary of War since 1947.

Trump has tasted war, but he hasn't tasted blood. He hasn't been on the losing end yet. When everything he does is done on a whim, there is no way to predict what will happen next. But, it won't be good.
