The first statue features Trump's thumbs-up hand crushing Liberty's crown. "DICTATOR APPROVED" on one side and then 4 plaques with a quote from an authoritarian about Trump.

On those plaques, former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro says, "We to have a great deal of shared values. I admire President Trump." Kim Jong Un with "Your excellency", "A special relationship," and "The extraordinary courage of President Trump." Vladimir Putin says, "President Trump is a very bright and talented man." Finally, Viktor Orban saying, "The most respected, the most feared person is Donald Trump."

The National Park Service permit for putting up the statue says:

"Military parade on 6/14 will feature imagery similar to autocratic repressive regimes, i.e. North Korea, Russia and China, marching through DC. This statue will call attention to that imagery by linking our American traditions to freedom to actually praising these types of oppressive leaders have given Donald Trump."

The person responsible for it is simply listed as "Thumbs Up Statue Display."

A new one just went up with a gold TV showing a loop of Trump doing his silly pump fist dancing. Nothing about whether there is sound. Probably not allowed.

The plaque includes a quote from White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson saying, "In the United States of America you have the right to display your so-called 'art,' no matter how ugly it is."

It looks like there's golden Ivy running around the base. The statue will be up till 6pm on June 29th. Then there's the golden eagle on the top.

There is only this one picture of this one provided by the National Park Service itself.

If you look up "Trump parody living statues," you'll find ones where people painted themselves gold to take part. There's also "Portland Trump parody statues," because a bunch of them showed up in Portland, Oregon. Finally, try just "Trump parody statues," and you'll find still more. The living statues especially have some great plaques on them.

Why do people do these parody statues? Because it is a way to protest Trump's corruption, civil rights violations and his very existence. Making fun of him is one way to take his power over us away, and he really hates it. So, it needs to be done, and often.
