RF Kjr Withdrawing $1.2 Billion US Pledge to International Vaccine Agency [1]

The United States will withdraw its financial support of Gavi, the global organization that helps purchase vaccines for children in poor countries, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the United States secretary of Health and Human Services, told the group’s leaders on Wednesday, accusing them of having “ignored the science” in immunizing children around the world
That’s a $1.2 billion pledge from Biden’s administration. Without evidence, of course, he claims-
“When vaccine safety issues have come before Gavi, Gavi has treated them not as a patient health problem, but as a public relations problem,” Mr. Kennedy said in the address. He offered no evidence for the allegation. … “In its zeal to promote universal vaccination, it has neglected the key issue of vaccine safety,” he said. “I’ll tell you how to start taking vaccine safety seriously: Consider the best science available, even when the science contradicts established paradigms. Until that happens, the United States won’t contribute more to Gavi.”
Dr Atul Gawande, who led the Biden administration’s work on global health called this “stunning and calamitous” and defended the reviews and recommendations of vaccines. He said that “This is utterly disastrous for children around the world and for public health.” (my bold) Also that it “indicates the level of reach of R.F.K. Jr.
The article states this will leave a huge hole in Gavi’s budget. While Gavi is expecting a record number of donor commitments, they won’t come close to the U.S. pledge. The Gates Foundation will maintain their donation amount, roughly $350 million. Bill Gates is schedule to speak today in Brussels. They had hoped to raise $9 billion for the period of 2026-30. Those funds would purchase 500 million childhood vaccinations they say. And save “at least 8 million lives by 2030. Addtionally “Gavi has in recent years helped countries introduce new vaccines into their immunization programs, including one to protect small children against malaria.”
How many disasters will the U.S. continue to unleash on the world? And what magic pill do all these bastards take to sleep at night?
