A Government Bought and $old is Behind the American Fascist Movement [1]

Bipartisan Goverment. Extinct for all practical purposes.

For the most part, our government has always been represented by wealthy upper class interests. Successful political parties of other classes have always made up a very short list.

Down to two today, with only one interested in democratic, Constitutional, and the Congressional rule of law. Precious few Americans realized the terrible fate that would await them under Trump II.

The two party system, known popularly as bipartisan government, has been in existence since the early 20th Century. They both agreed in practice to class rule by the same wealthy classes.

Source of the Two Party Divide

Government and the Rule of law is now for sale.

Under the now virtually extinct bipartisan two party system, it’s important to understand that the two parties were never divided by which classes should control government. They were divided by very different ideologies, methods and attitudes regarding the way other class interests were introduced into government structures and addressed. Much later, the Republicans began undermining bipartisanship and planning ways to sabotage government using government itself to destroy it as well as Constitutional government.

Recognizing if not Leading Progress

These differing interests in past years were both legislatively introduced mainly by Democrats via policy changes and related legislation mainly fought for by the trade union movement and later by the reformist and progressive civil rights, anti-war, women’s, gay and other human rights movements.

The ideological differences between the Parties were never really about which of the two Parties was better for the poor, working and middle classes. Trump and MAGA have helped demonstrate this fact beyond any shadow of a doubt. What’s significant is that BOTH parties in some basic ways, take their marching orders from the wealthier upper classes dominated by monopoly capital interests. This tempered and prevented enactment of more significant reforms by the Democrats.

Dictatorial Capitalist Interests

One Party, the Republicans, now believes the time is right for direct dictatorship by the super rich classes who made their billions in the later stages of monopoly capitalism. Their enormous financial wealth and supreme arrogance has “Trumped” any pretense for who and how their party should rule.

Monopoly Capitalism Defined A classic on monopoly Capitalism Monopoly capitalism occurs in advanced capitalist countries that have also obtained both generous and exploitive trade relation terms with many other countries. Giant corporations develop which evolve to dominate every level of raw materials acquisition, manufacture, sale, price fixing and distributive marketing on an increasing number of products, resources and services, eliminating competition and domestic union jobs in the process. This can occur in every type of production and vital service the public depends on, both in and out of government.

Republicans have revealed their plans to establish a corporate sponsored dictatorship, and willingness to discard our very Constitution, Bill of Rights, voting and electoral rights and rule of law. They are privileged, criminally motivated, deluded and greed blinded fools about to jump off a cliff from which there is no point of return from chaos and economic devastation.

Democratic Centrism’s Negatives

Current Centrist leadership.

The Democrats, as centrist leadership has reaffirmed, is also a Party of monopoly capitalist rule, only one which prefers our currently endangered Constitutional form of Government and all that it entrails.

Leadership Limitations

Their major weakness as an opponent of fascism, and it’s a big one, is that their current centrist leadership has always backed and practiced one class rule and in recent years has only been willing to make limited reforms acceptable to their wealthy backers, many of which have begun to jump ship and back the other side.

Centrists have drastically limited progressive influence in the party, particularly electorally and in important leadership position appointments.

Government Sold to Corporate Oligarchy? The newer, oligarchy level classes created on Wall Street by monopoly capitalism live in a universe of unreality, and have largely purchased control of government. A class which travels by personal jets and ocean liner sized ships, and lunches in Europe and has dinner in America. A class of oligarchs with fortunes too large to fail and with control now over most of the national media. Media which reports this corporate coup as normal politics while America burns both in actuality (from immense fire storms such as in California) and governmentally. The new mega billionaire class mostly wants dictatorship and jumped at the chance to support Trump in 2024.

The reason it became one class rule is relatively simple. First, it was always intended by the Founding Fathers to be under the leadership of the wealthy classes. It was structured this way going back to our founding and the establishment of the Electoral College (referred to as “electors” in the Constitution) to make sure men of wealth would be in positions of power and could if necessary prevent rank and file groups from electing presidents.

The increasing costs that were needed to maintain a national government and party did nothing to change that. It made them virtually unbeatable forces against smaller less financed parties which could easily be defeated in national elections.

For a Time, FDR Saved America; Will Trump Destroy it?

President Franklin Roosevelt

In the mid 19th Century, an increasing political and social polarization took shape and is still alive in the country’s DNA 150 years later. That original polarization led to a Civil War that eventually ended slavery.

In the 20th Century the shared domination of the two most prosperous capitalist parties, the Democratic and Republican Parties, were becoming more cemented together in ruling circles, referred to as bipartisanship.

Although the racial fall out and Southern Jim Crow segregation that emerged after slavery was overthrown in a Civil War remained an ongoing part of our national shame. While both believed in capitalist rule and wars to dominate the world economy were necessary, different ideologies as to how to accomplish it were there from the start.

The Great Depression (GD), as tragic as it was, was a virtual coup for the Democratic Party because recovery was wisely headed by President Franklin Roosevelt, elected in 1932. He then won an amazing consecutive four terms. FDR was often foolishly called a class traitor by Republican opposition, even though he actually saved capitalism and the Republic. But those years never did much to challenge the Southern segregationists.

President Lyndon Johnson

Saddled with a devastating economic collapse, FDR saw the essential need to both reform and regulate capitalism and to intervene to help the millions of suffering Americans in the lower classes. He also saw that eventually it was essential to both recognize the rebelling unions, both in fact and in the form of government regulation and reform or the coming War might be lost.

FDR Still Haunts the Upper Classes

Many of the essential rights and reforms we have today can be traced back to the New Deal FDR reforms. His last living political “graduate”, was President Lyndon Johnson. We are now under attack by Republicans determined to establish Trumpian fascism. The working class itself has acted as if they totally forgot the lessons of the Great Depression.

American Oligarchs.

Mega and oligarchic wealthy interests, drunk from their massive wealth and perceived powers, has led to many reaching extraordinary levels of wealth. They drank the Trump kool aid themselves believing the delusion that they no longer needed the type of reformist state built by FDR to keep class peace and control the worst aspects of monopoly capitalism.

Furthermore, they believe the constant wars waged to keep U.S. capitalism in a state of world economic dominance should be enough as long as the population can be pacified and kept ignorant.

The 800 Pound Gorilla

So they bought up all the major media outlets they could, along with Trump silencing others with threats and law suits. Most of them will no longer report on the major Constitutional crimes of the Trump administration. They act like all is normal and ignore the 800 pound Gorilla in the room — the reality that a dangerous “ship of incompetent sycophant fools” are running our government.

The plot is nearly complete. The final two steps will be a declaration of martial law and an outright suspension of fair mid-term elections.

Can We Awaken “Sleeping” America?

A good description of the average American’s understanding of politics in their country today.

Way too many Americans, not just the more extreme MAGAs, are literally “Lost in Space.” Like matter atomized by a black hole when it comes to voting for their own class interests.

They no longer have any awareness of, or organic connections to, the radical events of the 1930s. A time when their class rose up to enable America to help win the war against global fascism. And formed the many unions which helped drive the fantastic post war economic gains reached for American workers. Which in turn created a more prosperous working and middle class, rising from the ashes of the Great Depression.

America on the Chopping Block

Can they, with the help of millions of other Americans, wake up sleeping America?

America itself is now on the chopping block, and many still fail to see the disasters that are coming.

Republicans have worked incessantly to bring out the worst in America in their voting base, which are the many biases indigenous to our history, such as white supremacy, racism, misogyny and a host of others we are plagued by.

Yes, millions are starting to awake from their long slumbers. But will it be enough to stem the rising fascist tide? []
