Operation Narnia: 10 Iranian nuclear scientists killed and the nuclear program now [1]

Before there was the US Operation Midnight Hammer, Israel had Operation Narnia.

It was a plan to kill the top Iranian nuclear scientists. 9 were killed using a "special weapon" whose details were kept secret. Whatever it is, Israel must want to be able to use it in the future. One other scientist was shot. With current reports about the highly enriched uranium having been removed, the scientists are still important.

The architect of Iran's nuclear program, Mohammed Eslami, said that arrangements had been made to restart it. "The plan is to prevent interruptions in the process of production and services," he said to state owned Mehr News, saying that they were prepared for damage to the nuclear sites.

UN nuclear watchdog Chief Raphael Grossi said Tuesday that he had written to Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to propose a meeting and urged cooperation after a ceasefire was announced. Grossi, the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency wrote in a post on X, that Iran resuming cooperation with the agency could lead to a diplomatic solution to the longstanding controversy over Iran's nuclear program.

It's obvious to anyone that Iran's program of uranium enrichment only needed to be 5% for peaceful uses. Such as nuclear power plants and nuclear medicine. The only reason to enrich above that is for weapons capability.

Operation Narnia may have been the biggest or the last assassination program by the Israelis, hoping to shut down the Iran nuclear program by taking out the scientists. Now we know there is no accounting for the highly enriched uranium the Iranians had already had produced, which didn't need to be if all the Iranians needed it for was peaceful uses. 5% enrichment would do that. All assessments by the IAEA said Iranians had reached at least 60%.

Mohammed Eslami said that Iran was prepared for the attacks. Everything had been ferreted out of the facilities that needed to be. His statement that the program would continue implies that there are additional centrifuge facilities that neither the US or Israel knew about.

In the meantime, we have to wonder about what the special weapon, or secret weapon, that Israel used to take out those scientists was. It means that they can use it again in the future. If Iran's nuclear program is not shut down, they may feel the need to do so.
