I am hot and angry [yet again]. It seems to be my resting state of emotion. Dammit. [1]

Now, some 15 years ago, after much deliberation, we bought our abandoned ancient wreck of a home. The land was the most attractive part from my viewpoint.
As the engineer/scientist “part” of our partnership, I was responsible for making it livable, according to both our goals.
We chose where to live with care, Marie-Louise [Martiniquaise] likes it warm [too bloody hot IMHO] and not cold enough for me [Vermonter NEK]. So ideal, Southern Brittany was chosen. Financially, we were well off enough to do something and too poor not to.
Ground source heat pump [8kw], check
PV panels [15kW] +battery storage, check
Drinking water borehole, check.
Biological fosse, check.
Calculations based on weather data +15% for heat losses and gains based on material and construction, check.
Choice of equipment and appliances, check.
Double/triple check calculations, check. Change my mind, check, bloody check again. Who is going to fucking pay me?
Support from my partner, OK, fine now.
Just do it, check. Fingers crossed.
I won’t bore you with the details, except one: I regard air conditioning as a waste. [Based on location chosen]
I thought it was done, or so I thought. I hate buying stuff; it's so un-American, I know. It makes me angry, I know, I know. Most of all, I hate buying energy,

A few years ago, we decided that cooling was necessary in the bedrooms, so I adapted the heat pump system to passively cool by dumping excess heat into the boreholes [and replenishing them].
I miscalculated? Yes
I miscalculated the collective ignorance and denial by our governments.
In a few years [2+/-], we will no longer be net energy exporters, which makes me…….argh!
So now I am designing a further system involving a small vertical wind turbine and a passive air cooling system from vented groundworks under our coppice, since the existing boreholes can no longer take the load from the house and offices.
RRRROOOOWWLLL!!! [To quote our psychokitty.]
It is not as if I am lacking for projects…..
