Identifiers vs Labels [1]

The reason I tell people I’m a loner, an odd duck, or any other identifiers I use, it is not so that I can separate myself from them, it is in essence so they know what to expect from me and for them to understand where I’m coming from.
Identifiers are traits one assigns themselves, labels are something someone else sticks on you. People are forever sticking labels on others based on their perception, instead of listening and hearing how others describe themselves. Things become complicated, when people take the labels others have stuck on them and start applying those to themselves, forgetting their own identifiers.
In a world where people label you based on their own perspective and perceptions; it is rather hard to remain yourself if you haven’t secured your roots. The vast majority of people seem to be afraid to be alone with themselves, and that’s problematic for the only way to get to know someone is to spend time with them and that includes your own self.
What are your identifiers? How do you see yourself? Stop letting others define you and start defining yourself. Sit in front of a mirror and make friends with yourself, get to know yourself, your likes, dislikes, truths, values, discover them and grow your roots, so you can stay grounded in your own essence.
