Ukraine Invasion Day 1,216: precision air-to-surface weapons and bomb damage assessments [1]

Russian forces conducted a series of drone and missile strikes against Ukraine overnight on June 21 to 22.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russian forces launched two Iskander-M/Kn-23 ballistic missiles from Voronezh and Rostov oblasts, one S-300 surface-to-air missile from occupied Donetsk Oblast, and 47 Shahed and decoy drones from the directions of Kursk City and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Krasnodar Krai. [94] The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Ukrainian Forces downed 18 drones and that ten drones were “lost” or suppressed by Ukrainian electronic warfare (EW) systems. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russian strikes primarily targeted Chernihiv Oblast and also struck Sumy and Odesa oblasts. Ukrainian officials reported that Russian drones struck medical, civilian, and residential infrastructure in Kharkiv and Odesa oblasts, and that Russian missiles struck residential infrastructure in Donetsk Oblast. The defense forces are making efforts to disrupt the Russian invaders' offensive plans and deplete their combat potential.

Since the beginning of the day, 107 combat engagements have taken place, the enemy launched three missile and 50 air strikes, used nine missiles and dropped 60 unmanned aerial vehicles. In addition, it used 1,099 kamikaze drones, fired 4,439 times at settlements and positions of our troops.

In the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Ukrainian troops repelled 15 occupants' assault operations since the beginning of the day. Two more firefights are still ongoing. ,

In the South Slobozhansky sector, the enemy tried to storm the positions of our units seven times near the towns of Vovchansk, Stroyivka and Figolivka. One battle is currently ongoing. ,

Three attacks were repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the Kupyansk sector in the areas of Stepova Novoselivka, Zelenyi Hai and in the direction of Holubivka. ,

Ukrainian troops stopped twelve militants' attacks near Novyi Myr, Karpivka, Ridkodub and Kolodyazi in the Liman sector, and two more engagements are still ongoing.

In the Siversky sector, the enemy carried out three offensives in the areas of Hryhorivka and Ivano-Daryivka. ,

In the Kramatorsk sector, our defenders stopped four attempts of the invaders to advance in the areas of Chasovyi Yar and in the direction of Predtechyno and Bila Hora. One firefight is still ongoing. ,

In the Toretsk sector, the occupants stormed the positions of our defenders 13 times today in the areas of Diliyivka, Toretsk, Leonidivka, Rusyn Yar and Yablunivka. The defense forces steadfastly restrained the attack and repelled 12 enemy assaults, one firefight is still ongoing.

The enemy made 36 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector. The occupants were active near Malynivka, Myroliubivka, Myrne, Promin, Novosergiivka, Udachne, Kotlyarivka, Muravka and Oleksiivka. Three firefights are still ongoing.

According to preliminary estimates, Ukrainian troops eliminated 166 occupants and wounded 121 more in this sector. An armored combat vehicle, five vehicles, ten motorcycles, two cannons, eight antennas for controlling unmanned aerial vehicles, a Molniya unmanned aerial vehicle, a satellite communications terminal, an electronic warfare station, a communications antenna and an enemy generator were destroyed. An armored combat vehicle, three motorcycles, a BM-21 multiple rocket launcher system and four artillery systems of the Russian occupiers were also significantly damaged.

- In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian troops stopped five occupants' attacks near Vesele, Shevchenko and Vile Pole. Two firefights are currently underway.

- In other areas, there were no significant changes in the situation.

**Today, we should mention the soldiers of the 39th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade and the 17th Poltava Raid Brigade, who are effectively repelling the enemy.**
