Who were you listening to during the campaign? [1]

On this platform and other social media, there are endless entries and posts about what VP Harris should have been offering as policies during the campaign, thousands of such postings if not more, from all sides and all demographics, except one.
So, I have to ask, who or what were you listening to during the campaign? The fact that so many people, especially those who voted for Harris seem unaware of her proposals, is impossible to digest. It seems from my point of view that people were more focused on what chump and his ilk were saying not only about their own plans but about VP Harris, than to what Harris and her campaign were saying.
It seems that even the ones that were “following” the campaign, were in fact not listening, maybe it wasn’t entertaining enough I don’t know, but what other conclusions can I draw when people keep insisting that they didn’t have a message for the working class, the young people, the this the that, when I someone who doesn’t have access to cable, who does not live in the US, heard the exact opposite?
More disturbing is the fact that it is the very people who voted for her that seem to have missed her policies either wholly or key parts of them. And please don’t tell me it was the messaging, that might work if you’re saying republicans didn’t get it, but you as democratic voters should have known her policies whether you liked the packaging or not.
Hell, people keep talking about AI and how people are using AI for everything, did none just asked any AI “what are Harris’s proposed policies?” really? I don’t get it. How on earth were people pushing Harris’s agenda when they seem to be oblivious to most of its content? What were they telling their friends, neighbors, family, youngsters that Harris was proposing, when they seem to have not done the bare minimum of research on it?
The saddest part is, I’ve heard republicans voters, with more knowledge of Harris’s agenda, than some democratic voters.

So here are some of the policies
Economic Policies
Opportunity Economy : Harris emphasized strengthening the middle class through an "opportunity economy." Her proposals included: Tax Relief : Cutting taxes for over 100 million working and middle-class Americans, ensuring no one earning less than $400,000 pays more in taxes. She proposed raising taxes on corporations and high-income earners, including a billionaire minimum tax and quadrupling the tax on stock buybacks. Child Tax Credit : Expanding the Child Tax Credit to $3,600 per child (up to $6,000 for newborns in their first year), making it fully refundable, and increasing the eligible age to 17. Housing Affordability : Building 3 million new homes in four years, offering up to $25,000 in down payment assistance for first-time homebuyers, and providing tax incentives for builders of starter homes and affordable rentals. She also proposed curbing corporate landlords’ use of price-setting algorithms and limiting tax benefits for investors buying large numbers of single-family homes. Price Gouging Ban : Implementing the first-ever federal ban on corporate price gouging in the food and grocery sectors to address high food costs. Small Business Support : Expanding the startup expense deduction from $5,000 to $50,000 and aiming for 25 million new business applications by the end of her first term. Minimum Wage and Tips : Raising the federal minimum wage and eliminating taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers. Medical Debt Relief : Canceling medical debt for millions of Americans and working with states to address healthcare costs.
Healthcare
Strengthening Medicare and ACA : Expanding Medicare to cover long-term at-home care and accelerating prescription drug price negotiations. Harris also aimed to cap insulin prices at $35 for all Americans and limit out-of-pocket prescription drug costs.
Opioid Epidemic: Addressing the opioid crisis by supporting bipartisan border security measures to fund technology for detecting illicit drugs like fentanyl.
Reproductive Rights
Abortion Access : Harris pledged to block national abortion bans and sign legislation codifying Roe v. Wade protections. She strongly criticized the Supreme Court’s 2022 overturning of Roe v. Wade and supported eliminating the Senate filibuster to pass abortion rights legislation.
IVF and Reproductive Health: Protecting access to in vitro fertilization (IVF) and supporting women’s autonomy in family planning decisions.
Immigration
Border Security and Citizenship : Harris advocated for "strong border security" alongside an "earned pathway to citizenship" for undocumented immigrants. She supported the bipartisan Border Act of 2024, which would have funded additional border agents and tightened asylum restrictions.
Root Causes of Migration: As vice president, she secured $950 million in private investments for Central American communities to address migration drivers like poverty.
Social Justice and Fundamental Freedoms
LGBTQ+ Rights : Enshrining anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ+ Americans in healthcare, housing, and education.
Voting Rights : Strengthening voting rights to ensure fair elections.

Climate and Environment
Climate Action : Continuing the Biden administration’s Inflation Reduction Act goals, which include reducing carbon emissions by 40% by 2030. Harris cast the tiebreaking vote for this $370 billion climate investment package.
Moderate Shift: While she opposed offshore drilling and fracking in 2020, Harris adopted a more moderate stance as vice president, focusing on implementing existing clean energy initiatives.
Foreign Policy and National Security
Global Leadership : Harris pledged to strengthen alliances, stand up to dictators, and ensure U.S. leadership in global competition, particularly against China. She supported the "One China" policy while backing Taiwan’s self-defense and freedom of navigation in the South China Sea.
Artificial Intelligence : Leading efforts to establish AI safety frameworks, including voluntary commitments from AI firms for government review of powerful models.
Israel and Gaza: Supporting Israel’s right to defend itself while working to end the war in Gaza, with a focus on addressing Palestinian civilian suffering.
Education
Student Debt Relief: Continuing Biden’s student loan forgiveness efforts, particularly for borrowers from predatory for-profit colleges, and advocating for debt-free futures for public servants like teachers.
Criminal Justice
Cannabis Legalization : Supporting federal cannabis legalization and removing it from the Controlled Substances Act.
Police Reform: Backing the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act to address systemic issues in law enforcement.
