This assessment is pretty easy — it’s all FUBAR.

x 🇷🇺 Russian soldiers assess the aftermath of a Ukrainian strike on a Russian convoy in Kherson region, which included IFVs, a truck carrying a 152mm self-propelled artillery unit, and a buggy.

There was another prisoner exchange today.

x Another group of severely wounded Ukrainian servicemen has been freed from Russian captivity under the Istanbul agreements. Many were held over three years, some since Mariupol. All face serious health issues. The group includes personnel from various Ukrainian defense forces.

Good riddance to a quisling.

WARNING: The photo attached to the post shows the dead body.

x Another collaborator had paid the ultimate price. Occupiers couldn't protect Mykhailo Hrytsay, who was shot dead today in Berdiansk. After the invasion Hrytsay took a position in the Russian administration. He had been reported for torturing Ukrainian prisoners.

A Ukrainian Leopard tank destroys several buildings used by Russians near Pokrovsk.

A Russian pilot who thinks he’s Tom Cruise.

Russia turned its civilian-killing machine on Zaporizhzhia.

x Ukrainian southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia was under attack overnight. Aftermath of the Russian assault on 18 June:

Another 1,080 Russians and 63 artillery systems.

The beatings will continue. There is no morale to improve.

Ukraine is apparently getting better at shooting these things down.

x 21 interceptions of Russian drones of which a lot of are loitering munitions. Also, in the entire time up to June 1, 2025, only 15 interceptions of Russian Gerbera drones using FPV were documented. And in the first 18 days of June 2025 alone, 22 videos of Gerbera interceptions were published.

This time it’s a Chechen soldier who is making a video appeal — to Chechen leader Ramzam Kadyrov. 😅😅

x 1/ The Russian army is sending one-armed and one-legged soldiers into assaults, according to a wounded Chechen soldier who has been assigned to a so-called 'cripple battalion'. He says that the men's fitness status is systematically being falsified. ⬇️

2/ In a video appeal for help addressed to Chechnya's dictator Ramzan Kadyrov, a soldier named Suleiman Khuseinovich Borshigov identifies himself as a member of the 383rd Motorised Rifle Regiment (military unit 11086), based in Voronezh. 3/ He says: "There are sick people among us who were registered as healthy. There are even one-armed and one-legged people among us. They forged all our documents, registered us as completely healthy. They threw us into the assault squad and now they are sending us to slaughter." 4/ Borshigov says that although he is assigned to a unit for the recovering wounded, "They won’t let me get treatment." He was injured in an assault in which almost every attacker died. "About 90 people were killed among us. There were 6-7 of us who survived." 5/ "Now they are throwing us back into the thick of things. This is the kind of lawlessness they are doing to us here."Borshigov blames the regiment's commander, an officer named Salikhkov, and its political officer. He appeals to Kadyrov to intervene: 6/ "I have a request for our leader: save your Chechen. At least transfer me to your regiment. But by all means – get me out of here. These are the enemies of Allah. These people do not care about the country at all. They are simply traitors to this country, starting with Salikhov."

OK, so this guy is a little slow. And, OK, so he pointed the barrel of the rifle at his crotch.

The few, the proud, the shitfaced.

x 1/ Russian military recruiters are enlisting the elderly, alcoholics, drug addicts and the homeless into the army, apparently to meet recruitment quotas. Not surprisingly, the new recruits are proving problematic in training and on the battlefield. ⬇️

x 4/ Pictures and videos from Saransk in the Republic of Mordovia show army recruiters approaching people with drug and alcohol addictions and the homeless to offer them “full social security, uniform, haircut, money. You’ll come back as a hero”.

Here’s an even better idea — get the fuck out of Ukraine. Sanctions will be lifted. Problem solved.

Putin continues gaslighting the world, insisting no civilians are being targeted.

And now he says he is ready to meet with Zelenskyy.

x The Botoxed old man continues to insist that Russia does not kill civilians in Ukraine, does not strike residential apartments, only targets Ukraine's military-industrial facilities.

Russian TV propagandist Solovyov discovers that Trump likes to throw his associates under the bus.

x “You know, [Tulsi Gabbard] is the third person close to Trump whom Trump so easily wrote off. Tucker Carlson became kooky to him. Elon Musk became a drug addict to him.” - Solovyov is upset Trump is disrespecting the Kremlin’s favorite people.

North Korea is sending another 25,000 to Russia to work in drone factories.

x Russia already so reliant on North Korea, and possibly even more so if Iran cannot give weapons, or even technology. Now Japan's NHK News reports DPRK is sending 25,000 people to work at Russia's drone-manufacturing plants to boost production.

Trump is OK with multiple working sessions as long as there are lots of pictures — and Big Macs.

We’ll see if this actually happens.

x EU insists Russian gas ban will stand — even if Ukraine war ends Brussels says its planned Russian gas ban, set to take full effect by 2028, is permanent—brushing off criticism from Austria, Hungary, and Slovakia. euromaidanpress.com/2025/06/18/e... — Euromaidan Press (@euromaidanpress.bsky.social) June 18, 2025 at 3:09 PM

The sooner, the better.

x 🇺🇦❗️Ukraine, together with NATO partners, is testing new countermeasures against Russian long-range glide bombs (KABs), which are currently difficult to intercept. According to Defence UA, the technologies are in the testing phase, with deployment planned later this year.

Rest in peace Goldie.

x Good morning to readers; Kyiv remains in Ukrainian hands. Another heart that couldn't bear Russia's terror. Goldie, the pup for June in The Counteroffensive's Dog of War calendar "got scared, lost consciousness, and never woke up again" after this week's Russian strikes.

[image or embed] — Tim Mak (@timkmak.bsky.social) June 19, 2025 at 8:42 AM

Goldie spent her whole life in the shelter and got there as a little puppy almost nine years ago with her sister Jane. She never had an owner or some constant figure in her life to get affection from, so she had some trust issues. Despite this, she was the ambassador of the shelter, as they referred to her in the memorial post on their Instagram. "[She was] a ray of sunshine who met and saw off guests. The dog that always pleased with her presence and gentle attitude towards visitors," the shelter wrote in the post.

It’ll be OK Mom.
