Insomniacs' Late Night Vent Hole [1]

This vent-hole (hereinafter known as IVH), if lost or stolen will not be replaced or purchase price refunded. Violation of IVH rules will result in expulsion without refund. Admission to certain functions within the IVH may require additional innuendo, enter at your own risk. Frivolity and silliness are highly recommended for all riders. Last Tuesday, after spending the entire weekend in bed, they shocked my heart to get it back into rhythm. Wednesday, I felt good enough to go home. The condition is called Tachycardia, where the lower half of the heart is trying to beat but the top part just quivers instead of beating.
Saterday, I felt good enough to go to the No Kings protest. I spent two hours during the lunch rush hour, holding my sign in the heat. Turnout was real good for a town under 50K, about a thousand people lined both sides of Central West from the Federal Courthouse across the river to River Road. Lots of cheering, horn honking and waving, just a few rude gestures and no violence, as it should be.

As luck would have it, my heart went out of rhythm Sunday morning and became enough of a problem that Monday, I went back to the hospital. They seem to have a shortage of rooms tonight as I have been sitting in the ER for the past 5 hours! It’s almost 7pm as I write this and still no room. I’ve been told “nothing to eat or drink after Midnight” and all I have eaten today is a muffin, half a tuna sandwich and a cup of chicken noodle soup.
Last week, they pulled that “nothing by mouth stunt”, it was 4pm by the time I got breakfast! I’m pretty sure I’m set for the “electric chair” tomorrow. I hope it holds this time.
