Saturday was remarkable. What's next? [1]

Saturday was remarkable. And comparing our turnout with the abject failure of Trump’s wannabe fascist parade, well, good times and good vibrations.
And some are asking “what’s next”? I have an answer: I don’t know.
I do have a few ideas though.
To start, No Kings was organized by Indivisible, the 50501 Movement, Move On and a few others. And Saturday was not their first rodeo, so I’m pretty confident they will keep the ball rolling, er... lasso looping. ‘Cause one thing is for certain, they will gave good cause.
As far as that goes, if you want to, you can do what I finally did and join a local Indivisible chapter e.g.. If there is none, you can start by checking out their New Group Orientation or learning how to form a local chapter here. If you prefer the 50501 Movement see here, or MoveOn here.
So there’s that. But I also have another idea about what we can do here and that is focus our positive energy on each other and our negative energy fighting the fascists. By that I mean, disagree all the live-long day, but be at least civil.
And to that end, I apologize to the poster I called a dope yesterday. I will do better going forward.
One more thing:
As an atheist, let me ask that we have no more ignorant diaries* and comments slamming Christians, Christianity and religion. According to this entirely scientific poll doncha know, 1/6 of posters here at the Daily Kos identify as Christian. What’s more, according to Pew Research, 63% of Americans identified as Christian in 2024, and among them, a growing number align with progressive politics.
Let me ask you this: how many of the around 5 million people who turned out Saturday are believers? My guess, more than a few. See here, here, and here.
We are all on in this together, and we must hang together or surely we will hang apart. Religious tolerance is a two-way street, my friends. A two-way street.
Dawkins and Hitchens are wrong. They both made a categorical error. The problem is not religion. The problem is right-wing religion. The problem is Christian Nationalism.
*By ignorant, I mean just and only that. Slam the right wing religious bigots and Christian fascists all you want.
