Donnie’s hideously stupid tariffs are not the only thing causing economic mayhem for everyone but his billionaire buddies. Deportation, the signature theme of his presidency which has every MAGA drooling from every orifice is hemorrhaging cash at alarming rates.
ICE, the agency tasked with deportations, is a cash sinkhole and is burning more than it receives for performative bullshit like we are seeing in LA. So much so that they are already $1 billion over budget with three months remaining in the fiscal year. They could run out of money next month. Which is already illegal They are in desperate need for more money and bigly, yuge amounts ASAP to continue their cruelty.
The main reason; the stupendously onerous bench mark of arresting and vanishing 3000 immigrants a day. No matter their legality or criminality. Think of the number of masked agents needed to terrorize hundreds of places and the cost involved. Then there is the small task of housing those arrested in facilities here and abroad. Nayib Bukele is laughing all the way to the bank. Some warlord in South Sudan is getting paid handsomely and buying more arms for their civil war.
The cosplay of Marines and NG being marshalled on a totally fabricated pretext to LA must have cost a magnitude of millions. And so and so forth to Chicago and NYC, because this is such a winning template to terrify “sanctuary cities” which in reality have been enriched by immigrant culture and industry.
Donnie’s desperate ICE cash crunch of course puts pressure on Congress passing that Butt Ugly Bill which will inject $75billion for the next five years but should that fail then look to that artificial national emergency which will heist money from every government agency that DOGE has already looted to fund ICE. Which Donnie has form for; he already did that in his first term to build that wall that Mexico was supposed to pay for.
What’s more there is no accountability. The OMB does not have to disclose from where they appropriated the money from. Sounds about right for this we don't need this fascist groove thing. Factor in the billions lost in revenue and taxes without these immigrants working. And you know what?
ICE would be the first thing DOGE would have gotten rid off in a just world and if there was any semblance of seriousness in cutting government waste.
