The Yamhill County Historical Society Museum in McMinnville, Oregon has a number of old cars and a motorbike.
1901 Locomobile Stanley Stanhope Model No. 1
This was the first automobile in Yamhill County. It was also the first car to cross the mountains from McMinnville to Tillamook.
The name Locomobile came from “locomotive” and “automobile.” The concept of the Locomobile begins with the twin brothers Freelan Oscar Stanley and Francis Edgar Stanley who opened their automotive business in 1898. The first Locomobiles were steam cars, but soon proved to be somewhat unreliable, finicky to operate, and prone to fires. They had small water tanks and could get only about 20 miles per tank. Steam cars had to be warmed up for about a half-hour before being driven. They also needed kerosene to heat the water and gasoline for the pilot light. By 1902, 4,000 Locomobile Steam Cars had been produced.
This was a steam-driven automobile.

1925 Chevrolet Touring Car
This car has a 26 hp, 171 cubic inch, 4-cylinder engine. A total of 519,229 were built.
1952 Whizzer Motorized Bicycle
In the 1950s Pacemaker Whizzers were sold as complete motorized bicycles. According to the Museum:
“They were priced at $300, and very few sold, and by 1965 the Whizzer company ceased producing engines in an increasingly competitive market.”
