Going to throw this out there for feedback.
My wife got into a minor scuffle with a like-minded activist by simply posing the question… “What is the benefit of blocking traffic during a protest march?” The protagonist took extreme umbrage at the question even being asked, implying my wife was one of ‘them’ and should STFU.
I’m with the spouse on this. I certainly don’t think it’s a bad question to ask.
I can’t think of anything that would sour the most amount of people in the least amount of time on whatever cause the protestors are pushing, than to be stuck in traffic for hours, possibly missing crucial appointments, unable to pick up their kids from dance, running out of gas, god forbid a medical emergency, and/or having to piss their pants.
Nope, not the thing that’s going to inspire others to join the cause.
Sure, it’s going to draw attention, but is that the kind of attention we need?
Anyone?
