Yesterday was the biggest demonstration I have ever been in. The press is saying “tens of thousands” of people showed up. I was playing my trumpet in the Unpresidented Brass Band, man we had ‘em dancing in the street! People we never saw before fell in with us with drums and rattles and various percussion and wind instruments. A couple toddlers even, for a while. It was powerful and it was peaceful. The Black Bloc was somewhere else, or laying pretty low. The police were out protecting the march, blocking traffic, etc. It was great!
