We need your help against ICE on a couple things [1]

I’m from LA. Born and Bred, however, I don’t live their right now. I have a good friend, Rocky Torres, who does still live there who is from the Boyle Heights Community. He’s Latino, second-generation Mexican and he called me up at 1:51 am last night to talk.
It was a wide-ranging 2.5-hour discussion that started with what going on today in Downtown LA with ICE and the National Guard and ranged back to Cortez, Columbus and the Conquistadors delivering diseased blankets to the indigenous. It's ethnic cleansing. It’s cultural genocide. It’s the systematic erasure of a people from a particular place. It started back then, but it continues today.
Day in and day out.
Why are they targeting textile workers, Home Depot day workers, busboys and cooks, people attending their immigration hearings and kids graduations for deportation instead of hardened criminals? Let me tell you, hardened human trafficking members of MS13 are not hanging out at Home Depot.
Why are they inviting White Afrikaners here to become citizens when there’s only be one — ONE — White person farmer in the entirety of South Africa has been killed, and he wasn’t the owner of the farm. Skin privilege is a real thing and it has impacted both the indigenous and Latino Community for centuries.
This is racism. Raw, naked racism.
He had a couple of ideas I want to share. 1) He suggested some new Anti-ICE laws which I have described here:
Require all law enforcement performing arrests to refrain from masks, to wear uniforms with Name and ID badges and Organization Identification, except for registered undercover/plainclothes officers who may be assisting an arrest or action. Officers performing primary arrest functions must be clearly identified.
Allow individuals to protect themselves from abduction, and require bystanders to aid in preventing an abduction unless it is being performed to fully identified law enforcement officers.
Allow conceal carry authorization and stand your ground use of force to defend against personal assault or attempted abduction by unidentified persons, or an unlawful unjustified arrest.
Requires use of body cameras within the jurisdiction for all law enforcement, and also require that defending attorney are automatically supplied copies of all relevant footage in accordance with Brady Requirements.
Require safe handling of underage persons who are left unaccompanied by an arrest or detention through accredited child services.
I’m not sure how many or if any of these provisions are current law or in conflict with current law in California. To this end, I sent a copy of this list to the Los Angeles office of the National Lawyers Guild for input. I haven’t received a response yet.
I’d appreciate any comments by attorneys here. Once we have this worked up we’d like to start pitching to members of the California Assembly and the Governor Newsom (I’m located in Sacramento) to get some changes put in place to help protect our citizens and our immigrant community moving forward.
The larger project he suggested is for Veterans who oppose the use of National Guard under these circumstances. We’re working on creating a banner that will state something to the effect of…
Combat Veterans call for you to Honor Your Oath to the Constitution Reject All Illegal Orders
The intention is to gather a group of Combat Veterans to carry this banner right into DTLA in front of the National Guard and Marines.
