One hundred percent peaceful protest. On the steps of the Plumas County courthouse, Quincy, CA. Several very good speakers, a wide mix of ages, all good people. Here are the true patriots in this land. We will not allow ourselves to be ruled by a dictator.
Sic Semper Tyrannis
“Thus always to tyrants”
There was a police presence. They kept a very low profile. They were not needed, and no surprise at that.
I know there were police officers in this vehicle because I had walked by on the passenger side just a couple of minutes before and the officer, in uniform (but no body armor) greeted me politely. And, three blocks away there were about a half-dozen California Highway Patrol officers standing outside their vehicles, and they were also in just normal uniform. They also greeted me politely as I rode past on my bicycle.
This is what democracy looks like.
