Elon Musk turns on Starlink in Iran to help start a revolt [1]

No one can be completely evil. No, wait a minute, Stephen Miller is. But Elon Musk was notified by Fox host Mark Levin on X, that the Iranian government had shut down the internet in Iran.
"The beams are on." You are probably wondering, like I did, how could anyone in Iran have a Starlink terminal and how many of them could there be? Cyrus F. said on LinkedIn that he estimated that there were 20,000 of them. Here's his article on Forbes (behind paywall) that goes over the black market in Iran for Starlink terminals. Here's a Forbes video on that black market on Facebook.
So, the internet is not dead in Iran. The Starlink satellite internet service for cell phones is also working.
The Iranian government let people know they were interrupting service. "In view of the special conditions in the country, special restrictions have been placed on the country's internet," the Communications Ministry said in a statement.
It's all about trying to prevent an uprising, a coup. The Iranian government has tried to limit communications of all types, including Starlink's internet, by GPS jamming and spoofing.
Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu said, "Israel's fight it's not against the Iranian people. Our fight is against the murderous Islamic regime that oppresses and impoverishes you."
Will that mean anything to that oppressed people of Iran? There's so little we know because of the closed society. It's been two and a half years since the "Women Life Freedom" protests sparked by a woman who died in custody, after being arrested for not wearing a veil.
Reza Palhavi, the exiled son of the last Shah of Iran, put out a social media post in Persian. "Ali Khameneni, the reckless leader of the anti-Iranian Islamic Republic regime, has once again involved our country in a war. This is not Iran's war, nor the war of the Iranian people. It is Khameneni's War and the Islamic Republic's War."
On Friday, Netanyahu said, "The time has come for you to unite around your flag and your historic legacy, by standing up for your freedom from an evil and oppressive regime. It has never been weaker. This is your opportunity to stand up and let your voices be heard."
So far, all Elon has said is that, "The beams are on." What he actually thinks about Iran and what looks a war between Israel and Iran, who knows? Unlike Musk's connections with China and him having conversations with Putin, there can be no link to Iran. We think.
Maybe he's doing this out of the goodness of his heart, if he has one. It could be he's trying to generate some good PR, to make up for DOGE madness. I don't think he can ever live DOGE down. He seemed to have a spine attacking Trump and then he said he went too far.
All we know is that the people of Iran have a way to communicate. What they will decide to do with it is up to them. It's so hard to get news out of Iran that we might only find out about it if something major occurs.
Elon did something good. Let's leave it at that.
