I am finished reading:

The Bostonians by Henry James -I can understand why people dislike this James novel, I think that it’s...OK.

I do have to say that the very last chapter of The Bostonians reaches soap opera levels of hilarity. And in spite of James’s apparent attempt to make me dislike the main character, Olive Chancellor, I kinda would up liking her while disliking all of the other main characters, generally. On to The Princess Casamassima!

(And yes, I see the primary themes of this summer class already.)
