During the WTO Police Riot in Seattle in1999, I had the opportunity to offer care to a number of women who had been tear gassed. A common symptom was the sudden, and often untimely, onset of their menses.
This led me to believe that for some of these women, onset of menses actually meant “spontaneous” miscarriage.
Not really spontaneous at all, as it was chemically induced by the chemical irritants in tear gas. Some of the same or similar irritants can be found in pepper-spray and pepper-balls.
So, if you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, using IVF, or just chemically sensitive, you may want to consider a defensive approach to a possible exposure to chemical, “non-lethal,” crowd-torture mechanisms currently being deployed by American law enforcement. Defensive measures include full-face respirators, goggles and half-face respirators, gloves, and tyvek suits that can be sealed at the wrists and ankles. Kind of like COVID-19 PPE.
