My son lives in Los Angeles, and we just got off the phone. He confirmed that 99% of the protests are peaceful and non-violent, but the media shows the couple that are not. In addition, many of you know there is a curfew. According to my son, with an hour or so left before curfew begins, the police are cornering people and will not let them go home. Once the curfew takes effect, they arrest these individuals for breaking it. He is quick to admit that most of the police are not doing this, but it only takes a few.
Finally, the “Icicles” are infiltrating the protestors to stir up trouble so that the legitimate protestors can be arrested. Most are not falling into this trap, but it only takes one or two short-tempered people to do what ICE and #TACO are hoping to create.
