Distracted by Trump's Los Angeles machinations, we are failing to use an issue that hurts Trump [1]

It is right and proper to protest what Trump is doing in Los Angeles. But the polls show that about half the electorate support what he is doing.

While we should continue protesting at Trump’s invasion of Los Angeles, we should at the same time be making a huge noise about a giant issue that we are failing to take proper advantage of, that will most likely seriously undermine support for Trump among very large numbers of Republicans.

That issue is the revelation that he is allowing DOGE operatives to access your personal social security information, including: Driver’s license and identification information; Bank and credit cards; Birth and marriage certificates; Pension information; Home and work addresses; School records; Immigration and naturalization records; Family court records; Employment and employer records’ Psychological and psychiatric health records; Hospitalization records; Addiction treatment records’ HIV/AIDS test results

Also, tax information, including total earnings, Social Security and Medicare wages, and annual employee withholdings.

I very strongly suspect that most Republican voters will be enraged at this invasion of their personal information, when they consider the ways it can be used against them.

We should be shouting for removal of this information from DOGE hands and for criminal prosecution of anyone who sells any of this information.
