Bug Brain Simple: The Medicine Show has arrived [1]

During the nineteenth century, medicine shows roamed the rural parts of the US. Between songs, stories, jokes, and illusions, the “Doctor” pedaled his magic elixir guaranteed to cure whatever ails ya. It’s important that we remember that Trump is not a businessman, a dedicated public servant, or a military expert. He’s the “Doctor” in a medicine show selling his magic potion to the masses. And he has succeeded so well that in addition to handing over their own dollars, the crowd has presented him with the keys to the bank. Any time the crowd starts to lose interest; he flashes another shiny object. It would be nice to think that someone could address the crowd and warn them about what’s in the potion or what long term harm it may cause. But the crowd is excited about how good the potion makes them feel and not interested in listening to reason. A more effective way to eventually run the “Doctor” out of town is to get people to laugh at his baggy suit and ridiculous tie.

My diary entries usually concentrate on short, simple examples like the preceding paragraph.
