For over two centuries, the office of the President of the United States has been held exclusively by men. Many were capable. Some were inspiring. But in recent years, we’ve watched male ego — unchecked, unchallenged, and unaccountable — bring American democracy to the brink.
Now, as Donald Trump faces possible impeachment, his closest enablers — Vice President J.D. Vance and Speaker Mike Johnson — stand exposed alongside him. Investigations are intensifying. Public outrage is building. Impeachment articles are being drafted.
And once again, the country is staring down the barrel of a constitutional crisis.
But what if this crisis doesn’t end in collapse?
What if it leads to something transformative?
👩⚖️ What If Patty Murray Becomes President?
Under the Presidential Succession Act of 1947, if both the President and Vice President are removed or incapacitated — and if the Speaker of the House is unable or unfit to serve — the presidency passes to the President Pro Tempore of the Senate.
That means Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) could lawfully become the first woman President of the United States.
Not elected. Not self-appointed. But placed in the role by constitutional design and democratic legitimacy.

While we can't predict everything, we know this: Patty Murray isn’t driven by ego or theatrics. She's a legislator. A dealmaker. A steady hand.
And if she became President, she would likely do what the male ego hasn’t:
