The last time we had a king we told him to scram, by tossing out his tea at the Boston Tea Party
King George the III responded by dispatching his redcoats to gift us a little Boston Massacre
Shortly thereafter, our patriots gathered in Charlestown, up there on Reeds and Bunker Hills
Simple farmers, merchants and ordinary types, they stood their ground against that tyrant king
Colonel Prescott instructed his stoic, heroic men, “Don’t fire until you see the whites of their eyes”
They may have lost those two hills that day, but not the will, and all resolved to fight another day
Turned out to be a chilly morning in April, after a frantic midnight ride by Paul Revere and friends
Where brave patriots assembled in the town of Lexington, for The Shot Heard Around the World
Retreating to Concord, they gathered up muskets and courage, and put a beating on the king’s men
Chasing them back to Boston, our patriots sent a message for all the world to hear NO MORE KINGS
